Tuition: Tuition of $300 is required only if student is cast in the show. Tuition is due Friday, November 3, 2023 and includes cast t-shirt, professional instruction, registration fee, and two complimentary tickets for a public performance.
Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there's more to the story than meets the ears!
AUDITION INFORMATION: Audition is free and required for participation. Students must pre-register for audition. An audition packet will be provided electronically to students (ages 12+) that have pre-registered. Packets will be distributed via email 2 weeks prior to the audition. Auditionees younger than 12 years old will not need an audition packet, as no preparation is necessary for younger students.
REHEARSAL INFORMATION: First rehearsal and parent meeting will be Thursday, October 26 4:30-6:30 pm in Pikes Peak, where cast/crew will receive detailed schedule information. Generally, rehearsals will run Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-6:30 pm and alternating Saturdays 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Evening rehearsal times will be extended in December and January.
PERFORMANCES
Schooltime Matinee Performances: Thursday, January 18 10:00 am & 12:30 pm
Public Performances: Friday, January 19 7:00 pm | Saturday, January 20 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Prior to the audition, please complete and return the 2023-2024 Schauer School of the Arts Waiver electronically via email to the Education Coordinator, classes@schauercenter.org. If this isn't convenient for you, you may also bring a hard copy to the box office M-F 12:00-5:00 pm, or to the first day of class and give to the instructor. Blank waiver forms will be available for you during those times if needed.
