Pre-ballet is the introductory building blocks of our ballet program. Each level continues to learn the fundamental steps, technique, vocabulary, musicality, ballet etiquette, and classroom skills. Class will include center barre (Pre-ballet 3 begins using the ballet barre) and movements across the floor. Each level builds off of each other as students review and continue to build upon the steps previously learned. Each pre-ballet class meets once a week. Pre-ballet 1 for 30 minutes, Pre-ballet 2 for 45 minutes, and Pre-ballet 3 for 60 minutes. Students who fit the age range by September 1, 2025 may enroll.

Before the first day of your child's class, please complete and return the 2025-2026 Schauer School of the Arts waiver via email to the Education Director at classes@schauercenter.org. If this isn't convenient, you may bring a hard copy to the box office Monday through Friday, 12:00–5:00 pm or give the waiver form to the instructor on the first day of class. Blank waiver forms will be available for parents to fill out on the first day of class if needed.
