Drop A Rock 2020

The Schauer Arts Center’s DROP A ROCK 2020
#SchauerRocks

The Schauer Center’s “drop a rock” goal is simple—to promote random acts of kindness and positivity to unsuspecting recipients by painting and sharing rocks with messages about the arts in the Hartford community and beyond.

Painted rocks will be placed throughout the community on the International Drop a Rock Day on July 3, 2020. Additional rocks will be handed out at Hartford's Maxwell Street Days on July 8.

  1. If you are hiding or re-hiding a rock, please place it in an accessible public space. Examples include parks, areas outside businesses, and outside libraries, schools and other municipal buildings.
  2. Take a picture! Whether you are hiding a rock, re-hiding a rock or just found a rock, take a picture of it.
  3. Post your picture on our Facebook page with #SchauerRocks.
  4. Tell your friends and family to join in the hunt!

Schauer Rock-A-Pillar

Starting July 6, help us grow the Schauer Rock-A-Pillar/Caterpillar! We are asking members in the community to paint their own 2-3" rocks and add to the Rock-A-Pillar. Look for the Rock-A-Pillar sign located to the left of the front entrance to the Schauer Arts Center.
