- First and foremost, the information we collect is used to serve you. The information we collect is also used to improve the content of our Web page, used to notify consumers about updates to our website, used by us to contact consumers for marketing purposes, used to improve our services, and in other appropriate ways designed to fulfill the mission of theSchauer Center.
Does the Schauer Arts and Activities Center, Inc. Share the Information It Receives?
- Information about our customers is an important part of our business, but we are not in the business of selling it to others. We may occasionally share customer information with local arts groups such as the Hartford Players. The only information we share is mailing addresses and excludes email, credit card information, phone number, and any other personal information.

We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the service. - We may also, from time to time, collect information in the form of scholarship applications, etc. We understand that these may contain highly personal information, and it is our policy not to release that information beyond the purpose of the application. (For instance, an application may be shared with people on a committee to select the scholarship winner.)
How Secure Is Information About Me?
- We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
- We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.
- We have reasonable and appropriate security measures in place in our physical and technological facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site. These measures are consistent with the sound standards and practices of organizations of this type and size.
- Our employee manual incorporates this Privacy Policy by reference, and it is our strict policy that no employee should ever use information possessed by the Schauer Center for any purpose outside of the specific duties of their employment.

Upon request we provide our customers and site visitors with access to the personal information that we maintain about them, including financial information (e.g., credit card account information) that we maintain about them, transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) that we maintain about them, communications that the consumer/visitor has directed to our site (e.g., emails, customer inquiries), contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) that we maintain about them, a description of information that we maintain about them.
